Stacey Coene, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Stacey (founder) is a skilled clinical social worker with two decades of practical experience specializing in children’s mental health. Stacey received her Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Stacey has worked in community agency settings, hospital settings, as well as school settings, providing psychotherapy to children and teens and their caregivers. 

Stacey’s extensive experience and past work includes Chatham-Kent Children’s Services, Family Services Windsor Essex, and Children First. More recently she served as the Mental Health Lead at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.

Stacey is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Collaborative Problem Solving®, Mindfulness Practice, Play Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy. Stacey has been trained as a facilitator for the Circle of Security® and the Incredible Years® parenting groups. Stacey also has substantial experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention / life promotion.  

Stacey engages with her clients in a friendly and open manner.  She is passionate about reducing stigma around mental health care and promoting mental health literacy. As a social worker, Stacey seeks to take a self reflective and non-judgemental stance to every interaction she has with the individuals she works with.

Gillian Cator, M.S.W., R.S.W

For over a decade, Gillian has been a dedicated and compassionate therapist. She believes in the power of empathy and active listening to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that every individual has the capacity for growth and change. By fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, she strives to empower clients to explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals.

Committed to fostering resilience and promoting well-being through a client-centered approach, Gillian often utilizes Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Play Therapy. She is experienced in mental health support, crisis intervention, and care for individuals with a substance use disorder.

Gillian received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. As the process of engaging in therapy can look different for everyone, Gillian meets you where you are at. She understands the courage it takes to show up for yourself and values the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Whatever you may be going through, you don’t have to do it alone!

Hadeel Elzubeidi, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Hadeel has nine years of experience working with children, adolescents and families within Windsor-Essex, through community and government agencies such as Family Respite, Children First, Windsor Women Working with Immigrant Women etc. Hadeel received her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University and is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Hadeel’s work focuses on providing a holistic approach to therapy applying multiple techniques such as, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Practice, Trauma Informed Therapy and Attachment Focused Therapy. Hadeel has training in Triple P Parenting® and Circle of Security®.

Hadeel specializes in working with depression, anxiety, academic stress, identity struggles, parent-child conflict, self-esteem/self-confidence, social/peer relations, grief and loss, and trauma.

Hadeel has a knack for building strong and meaningful connections with her clients. She believes in engaging in a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship while creating a non-judgmental and safe space for individuals to share their stories. Hadeel’s approach to therapy further promotes developing a deeper, more-attuned sense of self and agency over one’s emotions and mind.

Sara Lindsey, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Sara is a compassionate, engaging, and skilled clinician that has over a decade of experience working with children, youth, and families. She has worked in school settings and various community agencies, including Windsor Regional Children's Centre and Maryvale. Sara received her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor, and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. 

Sara has helped clients with an array of concerns including anxiety, school avoidance, OCD, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anger, identity struggles, social/peer relationship stressors, parent-child conflict, and trauma. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Sara also has substantial experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention/life promotion.  

Through her work experience, Sara has provided caregiver support and coaching to allow parents to best support their child, to increase their confidence in responding effectively to their child’s needs, and to more consistently be the parent they want to be.

Being a teen, and parenting one is hard. Sara takes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, child-centred, and family systems approach to her practice to allow for most effective outcomes. She meets youth and families where they are at, and recognizes the value in simply feeling heard/validated. Sara supports youth in identifying and building on what they are already doing that is good for them. She helps youth focus on what is in their control and build their awareness about what may be keeping them stuck. Sara supports youth in learning/practicing healthier ways of getting their needs met, reducing their suffering, and intentionally creating a life worth living.

Basman Yalda, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Hello and welcome to Bas’s profile. He is thrilled to welcome new clients. Putting yourself first

can be challenging, but it's a journey filled with hope, potential for growth, and a commitment to

a better future. Bas holds a Master of S

ocial work degree from Wayne State University and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Bas has extensive experience in addressing various mental health conditions, including

depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, gender dysphoria, OCD, and relationship issues. Bas

provides a holistic, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, unbiased, and anti-oppressive approach to

offer the best support and understanding possible.

Bas specializes in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies and has additional training

in evidence-based modalities. This means he can integrate dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT),

acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), play therapy, and attachment-based therapy, among

others, into practice. Additionally, he has received training in mental health first aid and suicide

prevention programs.

Bas will assess your progress and work together to ensure you reach a safe, fulfilling, and

liberating place. Please share your thoughts, feelings, and concepts with him. This space is

dedicated to discussing you and your world. Bas is enthusiastic about connecting with you and

commencing your unique journey.

Alexandra Duke, M.A.C.P., R.P.


Alex is an engaging and effective psychotherapist with experience providing individual and group therapy to children and teens at Maryvale Adolescent Services, as well as the Windsor Essex Catholic School board. Alex received her Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is registered with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists.

Alex is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Alex is also trained in suicide intervention / life promotion. Alex has helped clients with an array of concerns including: depression, anxiety, academic stress, ADHD, OCD, anger difficulties, eating concerns, relationship troubles, identity worries, and trauma.

Alex values equity and fairness and embeds these values in all of her interactions with others, as well as models an anti-oppressive stance with her colleagues. Alex works to ensure that children and youth feel seen and heard and is a fierce advocate for the voices of youth.

Alex is currently on parental leave.

 

Michelle Belanger, M.A.C.P., R.P.




Michelle is a reputable and knowledgeable psychotherapist with ten years of experience providing therapy to children, teens, and caregivers. Michelle received her Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is registered with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists.

Michelle’s work experience includes: crisis intervention, individual and group therapy at Chatham Kent Children’s Services; paediatric crisis assessment at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance Emergency Department; as well as her current role serving as psychotherapist at the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board (where she supported students before, during, and after the Covid-19 pandemic).

Michelle is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, Play Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy.

Michelle is well known for her ability to build strong relationships and has a demonstrated capacity to “meet clients where they are at”, no matter where they are in their journey to achieving and maintaining good mental health.

Michelle is currently on parental leave.

Dana Peltier, M.S.W. R.S.W.

Dana has experience over the past eight years working with children, adolescents and adults in community agency settings. Dana received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Dana’s experience includes work with families and crisis intervention related support. Dana is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Practice. Dana is also trained in suicide prevention / life promotion. 

Dana is known for her strengths-based client centred work with children and their families while creating a safe space for promoting growth through advocacy. 

Dana is currently on parental leave.

 

Juno



Juno is an adorable and friendly hypoallergenic cockapoo who assists in therapeutic interventions! With client permission, Juno sometimes joins sessions with Stacey (Owner/Therapist) to help kids and youth engage in therapy in a variety of ways. Juno serves as a calming, engaging, and comforting ally in exploring emotions and solving problems.

If you happen to see Juno roaming around during your visit to Bloom, ask to pet him! He loves it when people say hi!
